Fundraiser for Hurricane Victims - AMERICAN RED CROSS

Dear Families:

A very enthusiastic group of committed fifth graders has organized a coin drive to raise money for victims of the recent hurricanes. The coin drive begins on Monday, September 25 and lasts until Friday, October 6. Donation jugs will be placed in each of Fox Hill's pods, as well as the lobby. All proceeds from the coin drive benefit the American Red Cross.
Please talk with your child about this fund raiser, and support this worthy cause by sending him/her to school with some change or dollar bills. We are so proud of our students' initiative!

Regards,
Mrs. Jaffe

Back to School Night is Wednesday!!!

Wednesday, September 13, 2017, is Back to School Night at Fox Hill. The evening begins at 6:30 in the Cafeteria, where our principal, Mrs. Johnson, will welcome parents and share her vision for the school year at Fox Hill.  Parents will then have an opportunity to visit Room 19 where Ms. O’Donnell and I will discuss this year's academic, social, and emotional goals for all students in Room 19. We encourage all parents to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about what is (and will be) happening in Room 19 throughout the year.

We will be conducting two identical sessions:

  • Session 1 begins at 7:00
  • Session 2 begins at 7:30

We hope to see you Wednesday night!

Happy First Day!

Welcome back Fox Hill families! It was a fantastic day, meeting the new crop of Room 19 fourth graders and starting to get to know everybody.  While a lot of the day was spent getting used to routines and modeling expectations, Room 19 started to work on our Class Constitution.

Another reason I am very, very excited about this school year is that Erin O'Donnell will be "co-teaching" in Room 19. She will be in our our classroom for a large majority of the academic day and we welcomed her today as one of the two teachers teaching in Room 19 this school year. The purpose of a co-taught model is to ensure that all student’s needs are being met and also provide further individual and small group instruction. We are excited to work together and get to know your child.

We have GYM tomorrow! Make sure you have sneakers to wear!

Try to get those "back to school" forms signed and returned at your earliest convenience.
